UnderGoing an Arthroscopy (surgery) today

I’m undergoing an Arthroscopy (surgery) today on my right shoulder… The reason for the surgery is to fix a damage caused by previous surgery which I did 5 years back…

So what is it all about???

A decade back I skidded from a two wheeler which started causing frequent dislocation on my right shoulder… Over time the number of iterations started increasing… So, it was recommended to go for a Key-Hole surgery where in loosened capsules on the shoulder were to be screwed and tied…

Then over a period of time moments on my right hand has been restricted and use of that hand has also been limited… Limited usage of the hand has resulted in damage of muscles which has changed my body posture… Also I couldn’t do 25% of the work in a day because of restricted moments… Another effect is I couldn’t play or go for physical workouts…

After 5 years of follow up with the doctors who performed the surgery I couldnt see any respite… I was always told everything was fine… Then I even took physio councelling and treatments… Again there was no respite…

By this time I met a old family friend who is a Doctor specialised in ortho… He referred me to meet a specialist in Coimbatore… After tarough review I was asked in to go for an Arthroscopy (another surgery)…

With all previous experience I took some time to decide and went for 2nd and 3rd opinion… All doctors recommended a surgery…

Now I’ve decided to go for a surgery and it is happening today by 1.30 PM in a hospital in Coimbatore…

With the blessings of almighty and well washers like you I hope surgery will be smooth and I get recovered quickly…

Emergency Experience

It was saturday night & i’ve planned to party after a while. My friends & I were already in a hotel and the time we were about to enter the discotheque I got a call from my friend Sriram & Bala that they were in trouble. When i called them back i was requested to come to MIOT hospital without wasting time on phone.

Instantly we cancelled all our program and I reached MIOT hospital in 20 min. I was shocked to see some 5 of my friends bleeding and were in a critical state. Normally I’m scared to see people who have met with accidents. This time i didn’t know where i got the confidence from. I was able to handle the situation. To my surprise;

  • I saw all my friends & was able to console them.
  • I did all the documentation formalities in the Hospital.
  • Handled the COPS.

I must say doctor attending emergency patients single handedly managed the situation well with his support staff. When i left of them were taken to ICU & I reached home to take some rest.

After waking up by noon I called up folks & was glad that everyone was shifted to normal ward and everyone was out of danger.

Then i went to the hospital to meet them. By this time most of the family members were already there & my friends were screwed by their parents & wives.

Other irony for them was they were getting calls from friends & relatives and they had to explain what has happened to everyone. I think each of them would have explained the situation to friends, relatives, cops & hospital staff at-least 50 times each.

I didn’t want them to be serious and we started making joke of the situation and we all made hospital as a get-together event. Now they are all out of danger & letz prey for their speedy recovery.

Will keep you all posted about their recovery process.

Watched a man die’ing

Went to a Hospital in Madurai to see one of our employee who got admitted. He was in ICU and went in to see him. Sadly a guy next to his bed was die’ing and this happened in front of my eyes.

On enquiry the man was trying to board a running train and he slipped to catch the handle and fell down injuring his head.

When he was dieing his wife was with him watching him die and we were watching the monitor where pulse was falling. Doctors tried their level best pumping his heart. Atlast they declared him dead.

It was a very miserable experience in my life where in i watched a human die & seeing his wife handling the situation was even sad.

God mist be crazy to expose me to such experience.
